Life skills development includes developing skills for community, social, and recreational participation. It also includes training in how to use public transport.
One of the most rewarding things we do here at Hosanna Community Care is seeing our NDIS participants gain independence through life skill development.
The life skills that we teach include a wide range of experiences and possibilities. In recognising that our participants are valued members of our community, we help to ensure that each participant’s interaction with the outside worldis positive.
We work in conjunction with best-practice support and development agencies to provide each participant with the life skills that are most appropriate to them. Most of our participants greatly benefit from this service and continue to achieve new goals and skills.
